Labor Day 2010

We visited the Grandparents this Labor Day weekend. We left for WL on Sunday morning. We went to Sacrament there and were able to see a few old friends. It is so fun to see everyone. We had a nice visit w/ Grandma and Grandpa Hurst and Shelly of course. Grandpa was excited to share all of his newly discovered "freezer meals" with us for lunch. We splurged and dined at Hour Time for dinner. This is where we ate after Cory proposed to me.
On Monday, we left for Cloverdale to see Grandpa Garrett and his family. He took us to Cataract Falls for a lovely afternoon. We walked across the covered bridge and on all the rocks "falls" that were dry from no rain. Then we grilled out at home while the boys rode bikes and played football w/ Jordan. The worst part about the entire trip was that we kenneled the dogs! We missed them so much. They would have loved roaming around the Falls...

Mom's visit

Mom came to visit and I was able to get a quick picture before Morgan and Keegan left for school. It was so nice to have her here. We went to lunch everyday and just did nothing-how great that feels!

Chicago 2010

I made it back to Chicago this year with some friends and I even took a picture! Celeste, Janaye and I hit the Outlets in Michigan City on the way there. Wendy met us the next day for more shopping and dining!

We strayed from our tradition of a family theme this year b/c Cory and Morgan had to dress for their parts in the Jungle Cruise at Church. Cory was Teddy Roosevelt, Morgan was a Sailor. Robin Hood was Mom's theme with Keegan and Greg.

We call him Flash

Only the QB is faster than Greg on the Vikings. We were finally able to catch him on film, but notice how the shot is only when he was already down. His run is too fast for the camera to catch!

Touchdown!

Keegan had a successful season his last year as a Viking. It was fun to watch him progress and improve. A friend captured this touchdown for us. Mom wsa too busy screaming in the stands, and of course Dad was on the sidelines coaching.

Phyllis turned 80 this year! In order to celebrate, Bob took her "on tour" with 12 other family members to our house. He rented an RV, hired a driver, and catered a lunch for her to have in our new house. It was so fun to see everyone for this special occasion. We felt honored to be part of it.
