Labor Day 2010

We visited the Grandparents this Labor Day weekend. We left for WL on Sunday morning. We went to Sacrament there and were able to see a few old friends. It is so fun to see everyone. We had a nice visit w/ Grandma and Grandpa Hurst and Shelly of course. Grandpa was excited to share all of his newly discovered "freezer meals" with us for lunch. We splurged and dined at Hour Time for dinner. This is where we ate after Cory proposed to me.
On Monday, we left for Cloverdale to see Grandpa Garrett and his family. He took us to Cataract Falls for a lovely afternoon. We walked across the covered bridge and on all the rocks "falls" that were dry from no rain. Then we grilled out at home while the boys rode bikes and played football w/ Jordan. The worst part about the entire trip was that we kenneled the dogs! We missed them so much. They would have loved roaming around the Falls...

Nativity Night

The third annual Creche Display evening went well. This is the first year the Stake has taken the reigns, and the amount of displays increased by 100 to a whopping 229 (I know, not as many as most stakes, but we are still trying to show the stake how effective this can be). The room looked lovely, with lighted dogwoods and evergreens. Plenty of unique displays from many countries, and one made out of balloons (above)! Overall we had good turn out, and some great music. Next year we hope to set up 500. Wish us luck!

Ninjippets

A rare photo of Ninja Whippets, otherwise known as Ninjippets, in an undisclosed training camp. Warning, they may have spotted you through the internet--something even Chuck Norris hasn't mastered--so you may soon be targeted. The only defense is the high pitch of a vacuum cleaner (kryptonite for Whippets), but only if you see them coming. Your sure won't hear them.

Go Vikings!

Found this photo of the Vikings Ship the parents built for the Rocketbowl this year. Morgan and Keegan each had their first year of football. Morgan played linebacker and running back for Discovery Middleschool, and Keegan played offensive and defensive end for the Division Champs--The Vikings.

Sadly they lost the Rocketbowl, but that only made him hungrier for next year. The question is: Is the world ready for Keegan and Greg next year? After 7 shut-outs last year, the opposition may begin to treat us like Boise State and refuse to play us!
